What is Futsal? CLICK HERE for more information on the game...

Futsal is a fun, fast indoor version of soccer. Futsal is a small sided game (5v5) played

on a basketball sized court. Unlike other forms of indoor soccer, the field is delimited by

lines, and not boards that players can use to redirect the ball. Futsal is the only "Official

form of Indoor Soccer" approved by FIFA.

Why Futsal

Develops great foot skills with pin-point passing,

Demands quick reflexes and fast thinking

Promotes more touches on the ball due to fewer players

Simulates outdoor soccer on a smaller scale

Superior to walled soccer in terms of developing skills and technique. In walled soccer,

players regularly "whack" the ball (and sometimes bodies) against the walls, promoting

improper technique and often rewarding errant play. In Futsal, players are constantly

reminded to play the same quality control game required for success in the outdoor game.

Emphasizes control under pressure, versus kick and chase, inevitably leads to more

heads-up play.

Safer – eliminates injuries associated with wall collisions
