SYSA COACHES:   The following is a summary of a very comprehensive coaching
and training manual provided to the public by the Boulder County Force
soccer club.  The following snapshots of the individual manuals will provide
you with the information contained in the various online manuals which can
be downloaded as a word document.  This is a very comprehensive manual
which you can use to augment your knowledge.

ATTENTION COACHES!

If you wish to coach SPRING 2008 soccer,

you must be registered as soon as possible!

Simply click on the registration link BELOW

and choose Coach/Volunteer registration

and proceed from there.

There is no charge for registering as a

coach or volunteer!

 

All coaches must fill out a CORI form at the MA Youth Soccer website as well as read, sign and

return the SYSA Coaches Code of Conduct to your AGD.

Please have Player Emergency Contact List and Cell Phone at ALL games and practices.

Please have SYSA Incident Report with you.

and your question will be addressed as promptly as possible.

 

*Game Day To Do's

When You are the Home Coach, make sure you bring: 

  • Game ball

  • Form for referee

  • Pinnies if You need to switch colors

  • Flags if you're first to the field (and return them if you're last)

  • Report scores to Essex County within 24 hours

  • Cards and Roster

  • Submit blurb to newspaper

When You are the Visiting Coach:

  • Call opposing coach to confirm location

  • Have Team Manager send out driving directions to parents.

  • Cards and Roster

  • Submit positive game summary to newspaper

For both HOME and AWAY Games

No team is to out score an opponent by more than 5 goals.  This is  not a suggestion; it's a required stopping point!

 

 

Licensure

All SYSA coaches are to be licensed.  Travel Coaches must earn a F license and IM coaches a G license.  

SYSA will reimburse any SYSA coach for the cost of the licensing course.  Please go to www.mayouthsoccer.org to find

a current schedule of licensing courses.  Once you have obtained your license please send Chris Hawthorne chawthorne@mac.com the receipt

and you will be reimbursed.  Please call of email if you have any questions!

  • A "G" license is for all intramural coaches U8 and up

  • Travel Coaches need an "F License"
